Where did my reviews go?

Google's +Vanessa Schneider posts a detailed summary of review processes, bugs, issues, policies and how their system deals with them... lots of interesting details on the workings of reviews at Google all in one document.

Search Plus your World injects social signals from Google + into the search results. Local businesses need their pages shared within local circles. Here's how.

Since this post is getting some good exposure over there on the Twitter, lets see how it'll do here on G+
Are you even blogging to the right audience? Probably not. If you want to build authority + attract links to your site, don't blog to customers! Blog to your peers.

Nine Rules To Work / Live By

#1: Always have clear lines of ownership. Know exactly what you are supposed to do and ensure others know that exactly.

#2: Always have your act together. You can't know everything, but what you can know try to know it well.

#3: Under promise, over deliver. You will always come out on top.

#4: Never make yourself indispensable. If you do you'll stay where you are because you are, well, indispensable.

#5: Credibility is king. Period.

#6: Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference. You can teach anyone anything, you can never teach right attitude.

#7: If you find yourself in a hole the first thing to do is stop digging. Old cowboy saying.

#8: "Skate to where the puck is going, not to where it is (or where it has been)." The Great One, Wayne Gretzky.

#9: At the end of the day always remember that it’s just a job.

For more context, and why I consider each rule to be so important....

Google, you should not be removing some of this stuff from Places pages!

Yesterday I ordered pizza for home delivery. I turned to my smartphone, dialed up Google, clicked the Restaurants icon as a short cut into Places, searched for

225 has nothing to do with engine displacement. Instead it's a nod to the length of this land yacht - 225 inches!

Family recipe, my personal version of it. Everyone who has ever tasted it says it is the best spaghetti they've ever had. Rich and rustic. Addictive even.

Kamloopa Pow Wow 2011

This weekend I watched some of the big pow wow celebrations held here in Kamloops, BC over the long weekend. With first nations from Ontario, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, Washington, Kansas, New Mexico, Arizona, South Dakota, Idaho, New York it is one of the largest pow wows in North America.

I have to say it was the greatest expressions of pride I have ever witnessed.

My wife took these photos

Fantastic menu. The mussels with smoked tomatoes (smoked from grape vine chips from Avondale Sky Winery) are to die for. As well the rib eye, the gnocchi, the scallops, the duck prosciutto, etc., etc... And fabulous cocktails!
