Yes. Do it.
Don’t just shame Android partners into updating—kick 'em in the revenue.

Promising work. Somehow I've always known that I have Alzheimer's. I forget too many things. Maybe it's a defense mechanism in my case... but I still fear this disease will take me soon. Perhaps in < 5 years. Unlike in the notebook, no one will read to me in the hope I may be lucid for an afternoon.

Slashdot Asks: Would You Pay For Android Updates? https://ask.slashdot.org/story/16/05/27/1526200/slashdot-asks-would-you-pay-for-android-updates?utm_source=rss1.0mainlinkanon&utm_medium=feed

This has long made me sick. Google does have the right approach despite what this person believes. If you are doing it right and paid for your phone up front direct from the manufacturer they should SUPPORT IT. If they want to lower their support costs... then they should stop fucking up Android with proprietary CRAP. Can you imagine a major PC OEM blocking their users from upgrading to Windows 10 by either refusing to update drivers or their custom "support" software?! Or dragging their feet on said crappers updates for YEARS. Imagine Lenovo finally allowing upgrades to Windows 7 now. It would be pathetic right?

Wake up phone manufacturer's. Do the right thing here. We ALREADY PAID YOU to support your fucking product.
It's no secret that most Android OEMs could do better when it comes to seeding out updates for their existing devices. A report on Bloomberg earlier this week claimed that Google plans to publicly name and shame the OEMs who are too slow at updating their devices. An HTC executive who didn't want to...

Yep. Sounds like the Navy I remember. Corrupt. Idiots in charge... with out of control egos.
This is how “Fat” Leonard Francis used bribes and prostitutes to corrupt scores of Navy officers.

I reserved a one bedroom with couch (for my son) but got a recliner chair. Whole place needs to be badly renovated... and does not meet the quality of other candlewood I have stayed at. Unimpressed.

I arrived late, and out the door early. Room was clean, though the small fridge was not fully closed and the temp (for me) was way too cold. Biggest problem was the ac unit next to the bed made sleep difficult.

Location was a little odd driving into. Rooms were clean, and staff friendly. Diner had good food and the morning omelets weren't bad, but the eggs were overcooked for my taste.
