Here are some of the photos I took last week in South Dakota. This is just a smattering. Apparently I took over 600. I should probably delete most of them though.

While exploring the other day I saw something curious. A bee that appeared to be sleeping in a flower. So I looked in a bunch more flowers and found some more. Apparently from two different species. That' shuts a guess, but one was much smaller than the others.

A little web search revealed this is how some male bees spend their nights. It helps protect them from predators.

I also learned that turkeys roost in trees (the very top of ponderosa pines) and bees sleep in flowers. I'll post pictures once I get some wifi.

Michael and I took a wrong turn while looking for lunch. We ended up in the parade in Glenn Arbor.

We had a question arise in the iBookHack today. When you create a new chapter it will automatically be labeled "Chapter 1" for example. We have a Spanish teacher who would like "Chapter" to be in Spanish automatically.

We can set it to just be the prefix, so just "Chapter", or number, so just "1". Does anyone know how to change the prefix to be something other than "Chapter"? +Anthony DiLaura and I are stumped.

I kept trying to figure out why this picture made him appear amphibious. Then I read the caption under the photos and thought "oh my".
