- Hi Steve! Very interesting blog post, indeed! Would you rather have some additional comments on it over here in Plus or in the blog post itself? :) hehe Let me know, either way would work for me ...Aug 23, 2012
- Hi- I thought you might pick up on the "email" topic, but to be clear, I wasn't having a dig at you or your campaign to reduce your email in-take :-) In fact I was endorsing much of what you've been doing over the past couple of years.
Happy to have comments here, but coincidentally, I've just read a comment on my blog page that refers to fragmentation::
"Another problem is that if email is one way to message, and social forums another, and there is no correlation between the modes, then conversations become even more fragmented and even more difficult to follow, archive, track back through."
That's probably a topic for another blog post. Given I've used different channels to promote the post, I'm happy to use each and all of them to respond. Whatever is the most convenient for the commentator!Aug 23, 2012
- Thanks for the follow-up! Not to worry, I understood it from the first moment I read it. I think you bring up some excellent points into the discussion and will be adding further commentary into the blog post to keep the conversation there for others to benefit as well. Must say though on that quote about fragmentation, one key aspect we keep forgetting is that we, human beings, are the ones creating such fragmentation, like you have confirmed by mentioning how you have used this channel to share the link, but also from the perspective that we, human beings, work much more effectively in fragments than "wholes". That's how our brains have been designed ... So, fragmentation may well not be such a bad idea, after all ;-))
Will comment on the blog post shortly ... thanks for the heads up!Aug 23, 2012
