Was news to me. Nice, concise overview of the caucus process.
We sent our reporter Trip Gabriel to live in Iowa. Now it is caucuses day.

Not really a clue. The article (or something else I read) stated that the
co-write of the two new movies was going to produce it. That's probably a
good sign.

Seems like it's been so long they'd have a hard time doing a stationary set
ala DS9; they're gonna have to move around a bit. It also seems like it
would be hard to try threading another needle into the historical cannon
and story-line, so I'd wager they'll roll with a standard post-TNG show
(that would allow them to milk aging casts for cameos nicely). The real
question would be a new Enterprise (what are they up to, NCC-1501F?), or a
whole new ship...

Pretty cool look at some future potential for home gaming.
Well, this is it. The day all my dreams came true. I started out playing 2D side-scrollers in mall arcades in the 1980s, but I’ll soon be able to fight holographic robots bursting through my living room walls using my handheld blaster that’s a wearable hologram. WTF.

Amazing Sunset Sky Show: Venus and Jupiter are converging for a must-see close encounter at the end of June. It could be the best backyard sky show of 2015.

Interesting look at a most unexpected role early boardgames played in WWII.
In her book The Monopolists, Mary Pilon explores the secret origins of the game Monopoly, which begin with Lizzie Magie, a forgotten feminist who patented her Landlord's Game in 1904—not, as many think, a man during the Great Depression.

A nice look at some early Interactive Fiction and the process of creating it.
“I look on it as part of my life’s work in writing,” the former Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky said of “Mindwheel,” the “interactive fiction” game he wrote in the nineteen-eighties. Credit Photograph Courtesy Synapse & Broderbund

Some day, I'm sure, text adventures are going to make a grand come-back and sacrifice all the Call of Duty players upon the altar of Zork.

In an effort to make some writing concepts more fun to learn, I am writing an educational adventure involving logical fallacies. I'm time-challenged these days, so I am starting by using a point-and-click editor called Quest. They have an interactive site in the UK and an editor that you can work with either online or as a standalone program.

Pretty nice/quick retrospective.
To celebrate the ingenuity of flying beast machines, we created this awesome video that catalogs all of the US Navy’s combat jets. You’ll see modern jets like the Harrier and F-18 and F-35 along with old school, bad ass planes with names like Banshee and Phantom and Panther and Skynight.

This sure was overdue.
One of the best features of Google Drive is the ability to share and modify files with other users. Today, Google’s building up on its permission system, allowing owners of shared files to lock certain functions like downloading, printing, or copying.

I had just be wondering how this worked...
You know that Louis C.K. joke about wifi on airplanes? He says, “It’s fast, and I’m watching YouTube clips. It’s amazing—I’m on an airplane! And then it breaks down.… And the guy next to me goes, ‘This is bullshit.’” It’s so true.

By Crom!  This is some good reading about the "classic" movie that is Conan the Barbarian.
What is best in life? Seeing a classic sword-and-sorcery hero brought to the big screen, with an iconic bodybuilder in the lead role. But how did Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian become such a classic film? The path to glory was long and twisted. Here's everything you never knew about the making of Conan.
