In our last review we looked at an 8-inch tablet running on the Atom Z3740 costing under $300. In this review we have the Dell Venue 11 Pro 10.8 inch tablet running the current high-end Z3770 CPU and costing $499. The powered keyboard is an additional…

Love the keybaord, so great to type with but the backwards dock thing doesn't work with the thicker i5 version. Still a great enhancement, they should sell these bundled, same goes for the useful docking station

With only 2/9 touch PCs updated here, 1 installing as I write, 1 downloading and 5 failures that need re-trying I suspect that there’s quite a bit of throttling and control going on by Microsoft today. I’m behind 1 IP address and after trying concurrent…

In our fifth 8-inch Windows Tablet review we’re taking a look at the Acer Inconia W4. Acer were the first to bring an 8-inch Windows 8 tablet to the market but the W3 really wasn’t at all an impressive device. The W4, however, looks a whole lot better and…

+Steve Paine That is a very difficult decision, reduce your free content, risks reducing your exposure in a competitive market place. I am thinking "free content" is the "loss leader" for maybe other revenue streams - that which brings you to the attention of others. Good luck with your decision. :)

Pathetic. Embarrassing. Do BGR have any idea about touch and mobile-centric operating systems? In a laughable article they refer to Windows XP as a blueprint for a tablet OS.

"Let’s think about this for a second: An intuitive, user-friendly platform that’s perfect for basic Internet use and other fairly uncomplicated applications… why, that sounds a lot like what Microsoft was trying to accomplish with the much-hated Metro display on Windows 8! In fact, as Microsoft UX designer Jacob Miller wrote earlier this year, “Metro… is designed for casual users who only want to check Facebook, view some photos, and maybe post a selfie to Instagram.”"

Oh let's just think about always-on, sensor support, touch support, simplifying setup, cloud-based accounts, sharing, security, sandboxing, 3G connectivity, cloud services, touch-focused keyboards and oh, an application Store shall we?

BGR, think about THAT for a second.

I have 5 of the 8-inch Windows tablets here so how about a speaker test? (Video) Bonus: Ful version of Meetmobility theme!
There's a clear winner among the 8-inch Windows tablets and surprisingly, it has a mono speaker.

The immediate worry about the $99-$129 entry-level Windows tablets is around the issue of quality. Low-cost Chinese ODM tablets won’t be the best tablets around but at least the performance won’t go down. You’ll still get Windows 8 on a Baytrail-T…

Queuing to order food, picking it up yourself, eating with local Telekom staff at lunchtime. This 'new concept' style is somewhat over-rated in my opinion. Clean and smart location and food good though.

Average quality hotel is clean and friendly. Value for money is good although don't expect the buffet breakfast to run room smoothly in high season. Hotel building 2 has no reception and is situated across from a car park that can be noisy from early to late. Great position for exploring the area though. Nearby restaurants suitable for all tastes.

Make sure you board the steam-powered ride. There's a diesel locomotive that's not half as interesting as the smelly steam locomotive! 8 minutes at about 10km/h is worth it. Take a look a the cabin classes and imagine. . .
