So here's a few of my thoughts on recents phones and more importantly how they're sold. I'm looking to buy a new phone soon as I do every few months. I'm on a grandfathered Verizon unlimited data plan that I refuse to ever give up, so I buy all my phones "off contract" at retail. I've always been a big fan of the Note series, I've owned every iteration. While this years Note 5 is not as impressive to me as Notes past I would of likely still bought it. Enter the second phone on my mind and the one I will be purchasing this fall, the Moto X Pure. This phone is sold off contract, at a reasonable price and will work on virtually all carriers in US. Personally I think the Note is the better device. I actually like TouchWiz and LOVE the SPen, heart rate sensor, fingerprint sensor ect. However I'll be purchasing the X Pure for one sole purpose, to support this way of selling a decent device direct from manufacturer to customer at a reasonable price, without a contract or carrier involvement at all. What are your thoughts on this type of direct to consumer selling? Do you see this being the future?
