"(CEO John) Mackey ... firmly opposes basic libertarian values vis-à-vis workers’ rights and labor organizing. He forbids Whole Foods employees from unionizing, comparing workers’ democratic control over their own workplaces and lives to herpes. A union “doesn’t kill you, but it’s unpleasant and inconvenient, and it stops a lot of people from becoming your lover,” the Whole Foods CEO declared."

Mackey is a disciple of Chicago and Austrian School libertarian gurus Milton Friedman, Friedrich Hayek, and Ludwig von Mises. According to Reason, Mackey’s works are also “peppered with references to … astrology.”  He's also an admirer of Ayn Rand.

And he has no problem paying the merest token wages to Colorado prisoners who labor to produce food products for him. Products sold at very substantial markups.

Every time John Mackey opens his pie hole, I find it a little bit (or a lot) harder to spend any money at all at #WholeFoods .
The preferred grocery store of many liberals has a dark side.

I was watching videos on YouTube yesterday and came across the ZZ Top version of Viva Las Vegas. This HDR is from a Vegas trip I took a few years back. It is the Bellagio fountains and the bright light shooting up into the sky in the background is from the Luxor Hotel and Casino.

my girlfriend brought me ramen from this place, there was no egg or corn, asked for ultimate spicy heat, there was none or even chilli included as a side, the ramen noodles tasted like top ramen out the of microwave. the fried rice was sad also, this place was laughable at best for authentic anything.

If I ever moved from vegas I would still drive back just to have these guys work on my bmw, I have never found a better company to do business with. Always the best price too. Add: customer service at its best!!! The boys were going on a well deserved vacation in 2 hours, and still took care of getting my car back on the road, before they left, i can not thank them enough and they have a customer for life. I have found no other business in any area that is so devoted to their customers. This is the only place to go!!
