Thank you all for great input for our next Special Mancakes! It was clear that we needed to put some bacon in our cakes and we also added some sweet. So we went with Peanut Butter Bacon Mancakes! We will be making them all week.
my teen daughter loves this place and always wants to go on the weekends. the food is spot on, lots of great choices to please everyone. I love their omelets and blintzes are a special treat. GF bread is especially good here. It's an upscale drive diner, the kind of place with attitude and humor. I always find the wait staff to be hard working and attentive, but this place is pure Portland. its a tiny bit edgy and not the most clean of restaurants.
It was ok. Maybe we didn't get the right thing - just omelettes. Not much cheese & not integrated with the egg at all, but the bacon, swiss & avocado plus tomatoes was good cause the avocado & tomatoes made a little sauce. Could have used more avocado. So far the coffee in Portland does not impress me. The hashbrowns are just plain round slices of potato barely cooked, but probably the best quality potatoes you can get.
Great place to get breakfast in the morning or a drunk meal after the bars close (open till 3am Friday and Saturday!). Great "Portlandy" decor and the smothered badass is one of the best omelets I've ever had.
Delicious breakfast for dinner! We fed our small kids and us on a pancake stack (strawberries with whipped cream) and a chicken fried steak with eggs and hash browns. Perfect amount of food and it was all delicious. Restaurant was empty on Thursday night around 5pm. Total win!
WILDLY unimpressed. There was a blatant disregard for cleanliness (we had to request a towel to wipe down the booth ourselves, at which point one of the women working turned to her coworker and laughed about how they "never" cleaned it. Hilarious.) and a distinct lack of any definable customer service. When our food arrived, it was cold and had several hairs in it, and the chicken was undercooked. Nobody tell the terminator, but we won't be back.
