As a photographer inspired by the mountains, I can't imagine a better experience than hopping in a 4-seater plane and looping around Grand Teton National Park at sunset. Check out a selection of shots that I was able to capture before putting down my camera and just soaking in the view

Last weekend, I was fortunate to get a birds eye view of Grand Teton National Park with a couple friends. After a storm passed that dropped over a foot of new snow in the upper elevations, the weather cleared and my friend Rodney asked if I wanted to hop in his plane and check out the fresh coat of white on the peaks.

Winter has arrived in Jackson Hole. Check out a few photos of some early snow high in the peaks

#photography #jacksonhole
We had a long beautiful fall here in Jackson, but as soon as the temperatures start to drop, everyone around here turns their eye towards winter. The snowfall is starting to accumulate in the upper elevations of the Tetons,

I recently took my first trip to New York City and had only one day to trek around Manahattan with my camera…
Recently I took a quick trip to New York City. With a weekend full of wedding plans, I really only had one day to trek around the city with my camera, and made the most of it by hitting some of the biggest attractions in Manhattan. We took a quick stop at a bookstore in the East Village in the morning, and I flipped through a couple books from some well-known NYC photographers which gave the inspiration to shoot images for black and white. I'm su...

A Room with a View in Grand Teton National Park added to my +500px
When the Cunnigham's built their cabin in Grand Teton National Park in the early 1900's, they definitely picked out the right view out of the living room window. The Tetons are framed perfectly on an early spring day in Grand Teton National Park.

So, I have lived in Jackson for just over 8 years and have frequented the Cowboy many times. Tonight, I was treated with the least amount of respect that any bartender has ever shown to me. After ordering a couple drinks and opening a tab at the main bar, I came back about a half hour later and ordered a couple more drinks and asked to close out my tab. The bartender told me I had started my tab down the bar (about 20 feet) and would not close my tab because he did not 'share tips' with the other bartender. I offered to give him a cash tip for the beers he just so graciously popped the caps off to compensate for him combining those drinks with my tab and he, for some reason, pointed to the bouncers and said he would have them take me out for asking him to do his job as a bartender. I understand the service industry and know that being a bartender in a high pressure situation like the cowboy can be rough, but to treat any customer like the way I was treated this evening is ridiculous. Jackson is in tough situation right now, we don't have enough housing to hire and keep good help in town, but that does not make up for having shitty service at your establishment. I have never once felt the need to leave a bad review at any bar or restaurant I have visited, but the 'service' I received tonight was over the line. I am offended that any bar would give this type of service to any visitor of Jackson. It will be a long time before I visit the Cowboy again, and now hate that tourists see this as a staple of our community.

Always the best selection and service. I fill up on local beers off the growlers taps a couple times a week. Sign up for the VIP card and get price match for other local liquor stores sales as well
