Additionally, even Mormon and Moroni say that what they're saying may be in error, but that the doctrine is pure. And we have to keep in mind that Mormon and Moroni were working with records almost a thousand years old. It's a little presumptuous to think that they'd get everything correct, the records are simply too old.
