Don't rely on the news for accurate reporting. Don't believe what you read on Yelp or other review sites. Don't react to social media. Don't ask crowds for their opinions. Mobsourcing rules. 5% of the population accounts for 100% of the conversation. My latest article. http://stephenshapiro.com/mobsourcing/

I love Penn & Teller's show, "Fool Us." Not only is it very entertaining, but it also gives some interesting insights into how we can be better presenters and innovators. Hint: the most complex tricks are the ones that rarely fool Penn & Teller.

This month I am featured on the cover of Speaker Magazine, along with 4 other incredible speakers.

Inside you will find my article on “Meandering with Purpose.” I reflect on my career as a professional speaker and assess what has helped – and what has hindered my success. Quite often I have learned more about what not to do than what to do.

Your reputation is fragile. You can't prevent bad PR. However, how you respond to bad situations can determine if you survive or if you crumble.
