A major change in the browser world today: Opera Software is ditching its own Presto browser engine for WebKit, which is used in Safari and Chrome. That means the company can rely much more on cooperation with rivals rather than pulling its own weight. The first fruits of the switch will be a new Opera for Android debuting at Mobile World Congress later this month. Opera decided to go with Google's V8 JavaScript engine.
