Shopping for food at out local street market in Paris (on Wednesdays and Saturdays) is a feast even before the proper feast. Unfortunately they were out of turkeys so we had to get one at a boucherie (the fourth we tried). The turkeys come with feathers, feet, and heads (and they've never been frozen), but the butcher plucks and preps them. Then came the stuffing, the tinfoil tent, the bean snipping.
