Now, here's more..
I'm an Attorney
handling Internet and technology matters. I've been doing this since those good 'ol days of Prodigy and Compuserve. No, I did not invent the Internet. I'll leave that to Al Gore
This is a Louisiana- based news and information site. So, if you want to know what's happening down here in our great state of Louisiana and New Orleans, it's a great resource (if I have to say so myself) for Louisiana politics, Louisiana business, city news, New Orleans Saints. Also, if you want news from around the country and top stories from around the world, come visit us.
Now, I must say, I've been blogging before blogs even blogged. So, if you want to share your blog with me
, I would love to read it. We might be able to re-publish you if you want us to do so.
And, if you want to know more about Internet law and legal issues, even dealing with Google+, contact me. I know thousands have asked me, what is Internet law, never heard of it. Well, if you are building a website or having a social media problem or even if you think that what you are doing has no Internet-legal related issue, you just might be surprised. The web is the real world's alter-ego, now. If it happens in real life, yep, it's being cloned online.
Is there any one thing of which you are really proud?
There are many, I say modestly. There is one that I hope has a long history in the future. Years ago, after being frustrated with the pace of technology growth in Louisiana (Louisiana and technology were oxymorons back then) I founded what is now generically called the Louisiana Digital Media law
. I also helped to expand it so it now covers so much of what we do with social media, phone apps, video games, e-commerce,
and almost anything that has a 1 and a 0. I am told that the law is helping Louisiana becoming one of the fastest-growing technology hubs in the country, I think it is second. In fact, New Orleans, post-Hurricane Katrina is a "hot bed" for
entrepreneurship and Louisiana economic development
for this reason and others. So, if you have a digital media idea and want to know how you can benefit, let's talk. Check out these
video interviews for more info.
Oh, did I tell you that I love to lecture, teach and enable? I think they call it coaching, now-a-days.
Not only have I taught 5th to 8th graders many moons ago, but have also taught e-commerce at Tulane and Loyola University of New Orleans. One of my proudest achievements was teaching roughly 4,000 Louisiana attorneys, Internet law. That was a challenge and quite a lot of fun, even if we were attorneys.
While I am not currently teaching, but still do my share of lecturing, and I am working with interns from around the globe. I love their help and I think they love to learn what I think i know. If you have any interest in hooking up with me so I can help you, just send me a line.
I am always looking for ideas and collaborations and I think i was born to share the knowledge.
Wait, don't leave yet, there's more!!
As you might now suspect, I do love to write, right?
Over the past two years or so, I have written tens of thousands of articles and columns whether it has been about Louisiana politics and government, New Orleans, Hurricane Katrina, economic development internet, technology, sports or about whatever walks.
Prior to writing for my own publication, I spread my "pearls of wisdom" far and wide.
I penned numerous articles for the New Orleans Times Picayune Newspaper "Cyber Scene", and other local media. I was the "Technology Columnist" for the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report and did I even created daily content for my weekday "Technology Minute" for WGSO 990 AM radio, Bloomberg Radio.
Whew...more to come...
During my spare time, I created two Louisiana statewide technology organizations, lectured at Internet World in Berlin Germany and founded an hysterical improptu stage show with a panel discussing the issues of the day--Politics with a Punch. Bill Maher, eat your heart out.
Thanks to Bayoubuzz, I am really into video for the Internet. Video is for cyberspace (still love that word) as writing was for books.
My wife Althea and I have filmed, created, edited and produced event videos for galas, fundraisers for the Louisiana Cancer Society, the Heart Association's Go Red for Women and even a inaugural ball and swearing-in of Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and fellow officials.
Now, besides handling technology-Internet legal matters, which is always interesting, and publishing, mentoring (coaching) and writing for Bayoubuzz, moderating a Louisiana Politics Facebook Page,
and now starting Google Communities Monetizing Google Hangouts and Making Money
with Google+, Google Tools Louisiana, Google Tools New Orleans
and Louisiana Politics
, I am actively involved promoting Google+
and Google Hangouts
and now Google Apps
which all combined, I believe is the "killer app", that we have been awaiting as anxiously as the messiah.
I believe I was the first to conduct Google Hangout interviews here in Louisiana. Over the past months, we have "hung-out" with the following:
Louisiana Treasurer John Kennedy,
Louisiana Agriculture Commissioner Mike Strain,
Louisiana Director of Entertainment for LED Chris Stelly,
GNO Inc's Michael Hecht (Economic Development)
President of the Downtown Development District, Kurt Weigle
Producer of America's Got Talent Roz Jordan
News conferences with New Orleans Mitch Landrieu
We are promoting Google Plus hangouts at the very top of over 600,000 pages of Bayoubuzz.com.
Should you need Internet-related (or other) legal help, that's me.
If you need to learn or improve upon Google Hangouts, Google Plus, Google Apps, we'll start the meter now and get your supercharged with experts from around the world.
If you want us to video your event or create memorable movies you can use for fundraising and promotions, we can help you here too.
While I don't do dishes or clean floors, I know that Bayoubuzz.com and I can serve or can help you in some way, just ask.
So, let's engage.
