Photographer, multimedia artist, entrepreneur, cyber punk. I find ways to connect with, help and be inspired by creative humans.
A little bit about me and photography
What got me started?
I grew up in a "theater" family. I would often find my mother in the darkness of the theater by the red glow of her cigarette or by the sound of the shutter on her camera. She directed my sister danced, and for a long time, I watched. Eventually the camera, A Canon AE1 with a 50mm lens, was put in my hands. I still have that AE1 today.
I love the smell of fixer in the morning (doesn't everyone), but the allure of a nearly infinite number of shots and not spending hundreds of dollars on film and days in a dark room quickly won me over. I purchased my first digital camera in the late 1990’s and haven't stopped clicking since.
What inspires me?
The theater, rockstars, period films, Blade Runner, EDM, Rock and Roke, and the work of talented photographers past and present.
What type of photos do I take?
Photography for creative entrepreneurs.
Performing artists, actors, models, dancers, painters, jewelry makers, DJs and musicians make up a shortlist of the creative humans I have been lucky enough to photograph.
Cameras: Canon 5D MKII, Canon 6D, Canon S95, iPhone
Glass: Canon 24-70mm f/2.8, Canon 70-200mm F/2.8 IS, Canon 50mm f/1.4 (and various lenses that I will rent for specific projects)
