The federal sentencing guidelines on this case are incredible. The defense of this case seems limited to sentencing issues.

Really glad to see Lenny Degnan is still fighting. He will win this appeal. This prosecution was designed to get to former Mayor Lantigua, not Degnan. Great guy. Great family. We love people who don't give up the fight.

This man took his trade to another part of Massachusetts hoping for better luck after already serving state prison time for drug trafficking in Massachusetts. Plan isn't looking good.

This is unusual. Local dealers rarely sell in this area. Out of state users meet their contacts here and consummate the deal in another part of the city. It seems odd that a local would be this careless.

District attorney asks for a high bail on an assault and battery case or on the alternative incredibly restrictive conditions of release. She talks about how strong her case is and that all witnesses are on board and ready to go. I ask for a quick trial date and she jumps up and down objecting saying she cannot get ready in month. Am I missing setting here???

About twenty years ago carjacking was a trendy crime. We don't see nearly as much of this in Massachusetts as we used to. Here is a recent story about a carjacking arrest. This case is probably overcharged.

More Aaron Hernandez related news. Regardless of what the prosecution thinks the murkier the waters the better things will be for Aaron Hernandez. I am telling you, his defense team is excellent and is going to win this case.

Interesting article about how an affluent community is getting its share of housebreaks and the response the police have. I have many clients who live in neighboring "not so nice" cities and towns who get pulled over in this town whenever they drive there. Racial profiling is not a legal substitute for probable cause no matter where you live...but it might be coming to your town.

This has to be included in the stupidest criminals files. Two men trey to melt firearm in microwave. Brilliant.

Leaving the scene of an accident after property damage. No identification of driver. No admission. Assistant district attorney will not dismiss the case. Asking for a jury trial. Some people just don't get it.

It's nice when cops can't bully an admission out of a client in these cases. Enjoy your not guilty +Stephen Neyman
