I am truly surprised, not to mention disappointed, that my +Chromebook went down last night.

Here's what happened:
Open it up to do some surfing and +Google Chrome browser launches immediately, telling me that it didn't shut down properly and would I like to restore the tabs.  I didn't remember having any tabs open, so I just dismissed the notification and went to type in my search in the omnibox.  The browser shut itself down and relaunched after about 5-10 seconds.  This time, I click restore and get to google.com.  Then go to the omnibox to type my search.  Browser shutdown and launch again, same error message.  Restore, go to type my search in Google.com's search box.  Browser shutdown and launch again, same error message.  After a few more times, the machine reboots completely.

Weird thing is that I can use the "Guest" browsing.  That works with no problem.  However, if I log in to any of the accounts on the Chromebook, the same thing happens with the browser relaunch and eventual machine reboot.

So, I did a powerwash to try and reset the machine.  Got my account back on the machine, logged in, same issue.

Called support and talked to Brian, who was helpful.  After a few minutes, he recommended that I attempt to reload the operating system.  So, I thank him and wait for the email with instructions, which came in just a few minutes.

At this point, I wonder if I somehow am having a bad dream and am back on Windows?

I follow the instructions, get the OS reloaded, and now it seems to be working (although the track pad is really jumpy now).  I shut the Chomebook, making sure to shut down the Chrome browser, just in case, since I have had enough of this thing for now.

Come back an hour or two later to do a little light browsing (and also just to check on it) and open it up, no error message.  Launch Chrome, no error message.  Browse to a site, no error message.  Then the machine reboots.  Hmmm... that was weird, let me try again.  Open, no error; Chrome, no error; site, no error; reboot.

Shut the thing in anger and will deal with it tomorrow.

+Melissa Daniels, are you still with the Chromebook team?  Do you have any suggestions?  Thanks! :)

Those poor dinosaurs died longing for a free-market economy, prohibitively expensive health care, and corrupt elected officials.

What a jerk.  Wish he was in my district, so I could get him out of there.
It began as something to encourage a little girl to participate in civic affairs. Now it's a huge ideological battle.

This was a fantastic burger experience. They have something for anyone. Veggie burgers and Portabella burgers for vegetarians and nearly everything on the menu can be gluten free for those with allergies. They really do a nice job with the gluten free. The staff are very nice and helpful. I love the NoWait service, where you can log in online, then shop or tour downtown and you will get a text when the table is ready. The milkshake was very good and the burgers were outstanding. The gluten free bun was delicious, the regular bun was fantastic as well. Make sure to get some parmesan truffle fries (also gluten free) or some pimento cheese fries. All in all, this was a great experience and comes with my highest recommendation.

Really good hot dogs. Good Chili. Prices are very good. If you want to have a hot dog, it is really tough to beat this locally-owned establishment. Be sure to bring cash or check, they don't take credit cards. Also, they are only open for lunch. Pepsi products only. They have sweet tea that is pretty good. Also, they have lemonade.

The people in there are nice enough, but there is no WiFi. Seriously, no WiFi. We tried to activate my wife's iPhone there and when it was trying to connect to the I-whatever we were told to go over to the Panera a few doors down to use their WiFi so that we could download quicker. That's the other thing, their data signal in their own store sucks, so let that be an indicator of the signal you will be getting on this network.

This is a really nice park. It would be nice if the toddler swings were not in the direct afternoon sun, because they get really hot. It can get crowded on nice days, but there is plenty of stuff for the kids to do.

This is a waffle house, so you should know what you are getting into before you go. The people at this one are super nice. They keep your drink filled. The food is good, waffle house food. If you don't know about Waffle House, here's a brief overview. They aren't the cleanest places around, open 24 hrs, which is great if you've been out late. They are the definitive "greasy spoon." They really know how to fry an egg, and, of course, don't miss the hash browns.

Very good burger. The potato bun is excellent. Burgers are meaty and juicy. They also have plenty of choices for toppings. I did notice that they have Black Bean Burgers, in case you are vegetarian. They have a good lunch special for $6.95 (burger, fries, drink). The people were friendly, the service was quick. Everything I would want in a burger joint. Unfortunately, they do not have a gluten-free option. If you don't care about that, then this is a really good stop when you are in downtown Greenville and get a burger craving. The place is clean.

I've always had a good experience here. I've had to return things and never had trouble. The people are always very nice, the store is clean, and the process are good. I'm usually there several times per week.
