The Best $5 per Month the Owner of a WordPress Website Could Ever Spend

How important to you is your WordPress website? What would you do if it got hacked or something went wrong during an upgrade?

Hopefully this will never happen to you, but you should expect the unexpected (and unwanted!) and have a backup plan.

Here is the story of what happened to one of my sites, and how I was able to fix it within a few minutes .

The $5 I spend each month for the VaultPress service is money well spent.

9 Customer Acquisition Tactics for Smart Marketers
There’s nothing better than a new customer, right? And the sudden rush of blood to the head when you get a new sale notification is often the best reward. But no sale happens by itself. I'm honored to be featured on +ProBlogger this week: http://bit.ly/1000sOfLostVisits

The topic is the tragedy of losing out on traffic from SEO, and a simple, 5-minute process bloggers can use to increase their odds of earning ongoing visits from search.

According to Google's Keyword Planner, 85% of those searching for "coffee" are on a mobile device. Just some of the interesting insights you can gain from it on mobile behavior.
If you were to ask the question posed by the title of this article a month ago, the answer would be: nothing. Unfortunately, when Google sunsetted the Keyword Tool and replaced it with Keyword Planner in July of last year, one of the things marketers lost was the ability to see traffic by device. But […]

"....searches for “near me” than “nearby”: I found this to be an interesting notion. What we say and what we actually mean is a conundrum as old as old as the hillls. In my language teaching days, I was forever drilling context, context, context! Makes things are much easier to understand.

Outbound Link Manager – WordPress Plugin

We all have our favourite WordPress plugins - and the chances of every "essential 10" list being exactly the same are very slim.

This one is a favourite of mine, it's especially useful on large sites as you can quickly and easily see which posts include links, and the anchor text used on those links.

You can also manage the links from the admin area. You can remove, edit and add (or remove) a nofollow tag.

I wrote a short review, here's the link.
