Admin, if not okay please remove!

Our facebook group “selfless” is spending this month spreading awareness on prostate cancer & research with a custom t-shirt design. Purchase proceeds will go to cancer.org, as listed on the shirt and shirt design.

So here's my problem with Google+:

Twitter is just short throwaway content.

Google+ allows longer more detailed content, along with comments, sort of like a blog.

So why do people blog here on Google+ instead of on their own blog? Sure, higher engagement because your 'friends' are all here, but you don't own your content and you can't monetize it. We should be building our own web properties.

Of course, I shouldn't be writing this here, should I?

Well, Stephen, as per usual, I'll actually write about your thoughts some time this weekend.

Doing some advanced WordPress trickery, involving generating posts on the fly...

Had to call Yoast's Breadcrumbs with the following so that it would work with what I've done:

echo str_replace(get_the_title(),'<a href="'.get_permalink($post->ID).'">'.get_the_titl
e($post->ID).'</a>',yoast_breadcrumb('<small><p id="breadcrumbs">',' &raquo; <strong>Comments</strong></p></small>',false));

Any guesses to what I'm doing?

Updated this old post of mine. My original solution is a little embarrasing - the way I'd do it now is no much more elegant than what I was doing 5 years ago!
Mar 20, 2008 - If you use PHP to create web pages, there may be times when you need to create a JavaScript array dynamically from a PHP array. This is not ...

This post of mine is old now (Feb 2012), but some of the issues I cover have resurfaced following Matt Mullenweg’s announcement in his State of the Word 2013 talk that we’re moving toward more frequent updates.
This has provoked further discussion in the community about the impact of this on the enterprise, most notably in Chris Lema’s Developing WordPress for the Enterprise article (http://chrislema.com/wordpress-for-the-enterprise/).

Potentially stupid question, but is there a way to search Google+ for the latest public posts on a certain topic? Or do I just use google.com and search for site:plus.google.com?

Edit: The google.com search was useless. Perhaps this is a large gap in Google+. Right now it seems like it's no good for following what people are saying about breaking news.
