I just got back from spending 4 hours at the Haus der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland in Bonn, Germany. It's quite a fascinating look at German history from WWII to present. The only drawback is there is very little information in English. (That said, there's something charming about Micky Maus.)

The museum has several pieces of the Berlin wall. I found the late 80s to be among the most interesting time periods shown as I was alive during that time but totally unaware of what was going on. (I can be forgiven for not following world events as I was six when the wall fell.)

In addition to the history, there is a side exhibit about what I can only assume is gender differences and their rôle in society. Also tattoos. Again, language barrier hurts.

Keep in mind, when I say very little, I mean there was still enough to occupy my time for 4 hours.
I went to several museums in Berlin, and the larger ones always had English audio available which helped.
