Hello! I'm a San Francisco-based food writer, recipe developer, cooking teacher, and cookbook author. I love comfort food of all kinds, from the most savory dinners to sinfully decadent desserts. 

I blog over at My first book, Melt: the Art of Macaroni and Cheese, came out in October 2013 with Little, Brown & Co. I also write for The Huffington Post, Serious Eats, NPR, and other select media outlets.

As I get older, I try to make things a little healthier--which to me means whole, fresh ingredients and throwing in veggies where I can while cutting down on sugar. Ok, well there's still sugar in the desserts. ;)
