Thanks to +Jane Smith I decided to check out NationStates, and started the Nomadic Peoples of Stargrace (yes, the ruler is so vain she named the nation after herself).

The Nomadic Peoples of Stargrace is a fledgling, safe nation, remarkable for its burgeoning Unicorn population. Its hard-nosed population of 5 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The enormous, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 38%, but much higher for the wealthy. A small private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.

Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Stargrace's national animal is the Unicorn, and its currency is the beaver.

Oh wow, I played that maybe a decade ago.
Was the book Jennifer Government that got me into that game, some of the best satire.

Sure, we've probably all heard the song 'Happy' more times than we can count over the past little while - but one fascinating thing about it is the 'Happy Craze' videos that it has been spurring on in other communities. It's a reminder to me of the good that is out there, that human nature indicates we just keep pushing ourselves along even through the hardest of times. This video is from St. Kilda, Melbourne, Australia.

I decided to disband Bitgum and start up a 2nd deed on Pristine, instead of traveling to Release the few times that I did. So far, I'm very pleased with the result.

I talk a bit about gaming for comfort, and why I have no problem diving into a video game world when dealing with harsh changes in real life.

Tears are okay! They're a release mechanism for stress, at least for me, and you've had a lot of strange new stuff and changed old stuff to deal with. Happy gaming. :)

Yay, safari time. I only need the baby ape to complete the list. This pet only spawns when it's raining and knowing my bad luck that means I should get it anywhere from 1week to 12 months from now. lol.

+Pete Smith I hope it's OK I used your screenshot in my blog post, if it's not, just let me know (I did give you credit! I just love his expression so much).

It's really hard to resist the siren call of friends having fun in ESO. I've managed so far.

I know I'm going to be sad on Friday when my headstart runs out. I'm actually have fun just doing stuff in the game. I like how it doesn't have a massive amount of mobs cluttering the game. It seems a little realistic now at my level.

I think tonight I'm going to get my wife to stream a video
