  • Lindenwood University | Dr. James Hutson
    Assistant, 2011 - 2013
The easiest way to describe my work for Dr. Hutson is "teacher's aid." I created powerpoint presentations for his course lectures, scanned documents, averaged his course grades for the yearly evaluation, as well as did research to help improve the Art Department at Lindenwood University. Two big projects I worked on for LU involved research for the Fashion Design and Graphic Design departments.
  • St. Louis Children's Hospital
    Volunteer/Intern, 2012 - 2012
At Children's I organized and provided a weekly summer art enrichment activity called "Project Picasso" to the children on the oncology floor. I would also, regularly, continue this art activity over in the hem/onc clinic and help the kids pass their time during treatment and blood transfusions. Aside from also volunteering in the Sibling Playroom, Patient Playroom, and Teen Lounge, I specifically spent one-on-one time with individual kids on the oncology floor. I became close with many children and found an importance in both myself and them while working with kids with cancer. My time spent at Children's greatly influenced my outlook on life and was very thankful for their Art Therapist letting me work with her.
