Some shots of my end of summer vacay to Jekyll Island. First time there, definitely not the last. A quiet, gorgeous, restful place. A wonderful respite before I'm back to the grind next week.

+Lee Harrington I have not quite yet figured out the difference between Collections and Stories. Or how to add text boxes to Stories. I had more to say about this trip, but couldn't figure out where/how to add a text box to do so.  Hmmm...

I remember being interviewed by these young women on the +Georgia Tech campus when they were launching this business a few years back. Proud to have been a part of their start-up and adding to the hair knowledge they are putting to use for multitudes of women! +Myavana
Scope out the hair-care aisle in the beauty section of any major retailer and you’ll find a familiar scene: a woman with a bottle of shampoo in hand, staring in dismay at the horde of options on the shelves in front of her. Should she pick sulfate-free or biotin add-in shampoo? Should she be looking for hydration or volume in her conditioner? The process of reviewing ingredients, comparing prices and questioning the purported hair-care benefits c...

From a #NACADAreads  webinar earlier today on how to better work with different personality types in advising, tutoring and teaching.

I am an introvert that is just shy of being an extrovert. There are things are about both that apply to me. 7 of 12 of the introvert and 5 of 10 of the extrovert I certainly agree with.

"I am not traveling enough."

I say this often and a friend called me out not to long ago and mentioned that I travel just about every month. When I reviewed my calendar last year, he was right. And this year, I have a trip scheduled every month until November so far...

Friends! I ask for your support today in spreading awareness about #Lupus . May is Lupus Awareness Month and today, Friday, May 15th is Put on Purple Day. Although I don't speak much about my challenges with this invisible disease, I advocate for awareness. Please wear something purple and send me a photo. I do wish to make a collage of my supporters in fighting this disease as I get prepared to create a Lupus Walk team in 2016. I will share more of my story in the days to come. Thank you in advance. LOTS OF LOVE! #kNOwLUPUS   #LupusAwarenessMonth   #PutOnPurple   #SLE

Delicious pastries. Great variety of sandwiches. Fast service. Pretty busy place, but a seat is always available at the table.

Located right in the heart of the action of Times Square! Perfect for exploring NYC. The service is attentive and responsive, and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms. Especially for NYC! Modern and comfortable, with more than adequate space to move around. The restaurant offers a great full breakfast, the wifi always worked, the bed was comfy, the room was clean, the shower had good pressure, the towels were soft and the toiletries were good quality. Again, I was impressed for NYC. I am so glad I found this gem through a TravelZoo deal...I'll definitely return on my next trip to NYC.
