This has to stop.

During the last eight years, garage-fronted rowhouses were approved by the dozen. City planners gave Children's Hospital carte blanche to plop a car-oriented skyscraper on the popular Schuylkill Banks, next to a fragile rowhouse neighborhood. Civic associations continued to find themselves on the front lines of development battles, with minimal backup from city planners. When you consider the scale of the boom, there have been depressingly few works of architecture that can be considered memorable.

Would love to see a building like this in Philadelphia. Architects in the US are so afraid of color.

I'm happy to say I have copies of these. I was looking at them last week. What a great collection. Typography matters.

We love making maps.
Let's see what's useful here. Check it.

Quick tip - use desaturated blues in your shadows to create form. It allows you to create dimensionality and elevation without just making things darker.

Great to see the details.
Making something to work with an apple product takes paying attention to all of them.

Introduction
We shape our tools and then our tools shape us (Marshall McLuhan, 1964)

I approach design as a primarily anthropological problem. Understanding culture. The problems I find most compelling involve fostering humanity in a technical space. I work and think visually, but self-involved design tinkering bores me.

It excites me when clients have very high expectations. At Stellarvisions, we collaborate with our clients to understand their audience and craft the tool, the content, the message. We shape how information is organized, displayed, shared, and experienced. We create culture-driven tools™ that support and express core values.

Stellarvisions is always looking for new clients who have an interesting, challenging project. We'd love to collaborate with you.
