a question here:
I live in place A and work in place E. I take the train from going from A to E, which stops in B, C and D. Each station has a portal, so I like to hack some items while going to work. I hack portal in A, then switch the screen off; when in B switch it back on and hack the portal, failing miserably. It turns out that I cannot do anything at all:
- hack: no items acquired;
- deploy: no error messages, but resonators are not deployed;
- fire xmp burster: missed all resonators;
- recharge portal: no error messages, but XM is taken and then regained with no effects;
The very same thing happens when on D, while sometimes I'm able to hack portal in C (some other times nothing happens, as in B and D). In all the cases location is accurate, Internet connection working like a charm, everything normal.
This looks like an anti-spoofing mechanism to me, could it be the case? Isn't this a bit harsh? The train is not that fast (faster than a car, though), and I believe it's not against the rules to play while travelling by train..
