A great cartoon about investing
There are a lot of ways to go broke in the stock market. Buying really risky and speculative stocks is one way. Putting your money into one stock and then watching it go bankrupt is another. Then there's the possibility of over-trading and over-reacting to volatility.

How Warren Buffett showed everyone how to beat hedge funds
There's a popular saying among certain crowds on Wall Street. One variation of it goes like this: “Retail investors are the dumb money. Hedge funds and investment managers are the smart money.” No one is certain where this phrase started or even how long it's been around.

Here's what happens when you buy and hold the right stocks
Buying and holding individual stocks is one of the world's hardest professions. Do you have the restraint to hold through downturns? Do you have a thesis for buying a stock in the first place? The list of questions goes on and on. But when you do buy and hold the right stocks, incredible wealth ...

A quick lesson on why recovering from really bad trades is so hard... Avoid them!
People say it all the time. Controlling risk is one of the most important things anyone can do when investing or trading. How much money are you comfortable losing on a single investment? How much of your portfolio is concentrated in one or two equities? These questions are only a few examples ...

The importance of setting a stop loss in trading or investing
One of the most important things in investing and trading is risk management. Some of the best risk managers in the world never risk more than 2% of their portfolio on a single stock. Some religiously make sure they are hedged or protected from a viscous move that could go against them.

The Mallard Pattern!
Charts are essential to the stock market. Most traders have a deep respect for charts. They tell you how a stock has moved over time and what kind of demand surrounds the asset. But sometimes trading can be exhausting. Or even boring. Sometimes you need to put your feet up on a desk and relax.

The long history of interest rates
If you've ever studied economics 101, you know how important interest rates are to a country and its economy. The chart below shows interest rates in the U.S. since 1791. It's a masterpiece and to our knowledge there's no other chart like it publicly available on the Internet.

Before you start investing or trading, just look at this. It will save you a lot of money.
We've all been there. It's the first few months of ever putting our own money in the market. Beaming with overconfidence and desires to get super rich we start buying and selling stocks like we can time the market perfectly. At first, we think it's a natural talent… “I am the GOAT of Wall Street ...

Best t-shirt ever? The StockTwits $GBPUSD / Brexit shirt.
Brexit rattled financial markets around the world. The $GBPUSD (British Pound vs. US Dollar) dropped to 31-year lows after the vote. The S&P 500, FTSE, and DAX all plummeted as well. It was a historic moment. People everywhere were talking about Britain and what the country had just done.
