Our World Plus One Collection - Volume III

Here it is! The brand new volume of the Our World Plus One Collection I picked up earlier today at Ivan's place. It is absolutely beautiful. +Ivan Makarov and +Andy Lee did again a phenomenal job. Thank you!! I know I will enjoy looking at it for a long time to come.

This is an interesting experiment and I am looking forward to the outcome.

New Day's Hope

I have been doing a lot of thinking about how my main stream no longer shows everyone, or even a few and their newest posts, about how my own posts get increasingly smaller interaction, and how if my posts are doing that, then everyone's are.  I think the algorithm that governs what we see and what others see of our own stuff has gotten too restrictive.  And it frustrates me to no end - especially when I have 100 new posts in my stream and most are either 24 hours old, something I have already seen (and plussed or commented) or both.  Fresh isn't happening anymore and it is FRUSTRATING.

I don't normally notify anyone of my posts but for this, I am (and I am not even sure how many will get the notification - over 3500 in my circles).  What I am proposing is an experiment of sorts.  To all of those that comment on this post, I will go to your stream and plus the heck out of you, comment as much as possible, and over the next week, share a few my favorite posts.  Here is the catch - you have to share this post or something similar, calling your own circles to action.

Let's see if we can shake up the algorithm a bit.  Let's see if we can take back control of our streams LIKE WE SHOULD HAVE.  Let's see if our streams start showing our favorite people again.  A week from now, I will make a new post so I can see if my stream has changed... hopefully, mine will and so will yours.

Top 10 personal favorite photos of 2014

Number nine on  my top 10 list is called Subatomical. It's a view of an intriguing hallway at the Medical Center at Stanford University, California.

Top 10 personal favorite photos of 2014

Gazos Creek is the next long exposure photo that made it into my top 10 list. I made at the Pacific Coast in Northern California in May last year.

Top 10 personal favorite photos of 2014

Of course it wouldn't be a top 10 of mine with at least one long exposure photo from the Pacific Coast. I made Pacific Cross at the Wilder Ranch State Park just North of Santa Cruz, California. An incredible place I recommend to visit when you're in the vicinity.

Very helpful and friendly place with a lot of knowledge about RVs. They fixed our multiple problems (leaky water pump and faucet, faulty charging relay) with our rental RV. Our daughter could even play with their son and we left with a bag of pears. I fully recommend them to anyone who has issues with their RV.

The best butcher with the largest selection with the in the entire Bay Area. Every time we go there we buy as much as we can. I particularly love the Leberkäse, Blutwurst and Wurstsalat.

We had Dinner at Steamers for the 2nd time. The staff is friendly and the food is good. But just like last year we had to wait for a long time to get our dinner. It's hard to keep hungry kids happy for 45 minutes after we placed our orders.

We visited for a nice Birthday dinner. The dishes we ordered (Chicken Teriyaki with 2 different makimonis and a plate of Sashimi) were all excellent. The service was rather quick and friendly. We'll be back!

Ordered the Boss Hogg restaurant. I got a different bread and the coleslaw salad that comes with it had no taste. The pork in the sandwich wasn't great either.
