Re: "Chrome Help - Google Chrome blocks downloads":  Chrome may be blocking some malware, but it's also clearly blocking root/jailbreak tools at the behest of mobile device/service companies. At very least we should have a clearly available option to bypass Google's nanny filtering.  It's irritating that I keep having to fire up another browser to get tools like adb and fastboot (other than by installing the entire Android SDK bloatware). Makes me question whether I should bother keeping Chrome.  I don't need my browser to tell me what I'm allowed to do.  Fine if that's a paranoid default for noobs, but developers do NOT need Google to act in loco parentis for us. This corporation does NOT know what's best for us, and we really don't care for how deep in bed it's getting with other commercial interests to try to keep us all technologically handcuffed.  What ever happened to "Don't be evil"? More like "Try to hide the evil" these days.

Good point +Stanton McCandlish but Chrome is best for using Voice with Google on Android so you risk losing that useful set of features. Just a thought.

This is hilarious (the article, I mean; the drink is just moronic).
With the launch of their first liquor brand, an upstart company called Fabulous American Beverages (or FAB, if you’re feeling suicidal) is going where no other whiskey-maker I know of has purposefully

ALL YOU CAN EAT Shush, for $25 ($20 lunch)! YES! Good stuff too. They have one of the best mayo-free spicy tuna rolls (hand or cut) I've had in years (hot enough to be interesting but not to wreck the flavor). Their taco (octopus) and ebi (cooked shrimp) were also excellent. The baked scallops were a bit overcooked, but it was rush hour and very hectic, so I forgive them. I have an extremely low-fat diet, and they were fine with my special requests, like no mayo or avocado in anything. Their miso soup was also superior to most - rich flavor but less of a salt assault than usual. Oh, the Chinese food place next door is actually the same operation, and you can mix-and-match from both menus.

Worst hotel experience I've EVER had, even including third-world countries. I may sue them for gross negligence and bodily harm. I needed particular room features for medical reasons and they withheld an available one because it was being saved for a friend of an employee. I was injured as a result, and instead of apologizing, the staff, including management, engaged in a campaign of harassment, and even tried to have the cops eject me, without my cat, just to make me go away so they didn't have to take responsibility. I was cursed at, screamed at, mocked in front of staff and customers. FULL STORY: http://tinyurl.com/cu4fumx

This isn't really live; they're simply lip- and keyboard-synching to the LP version.

Cool new idea. Stick-on BlueTooth thing, like a longer-range RFID.  Find your keys with your phone, know if someone stole your bike from outside the café, be alerted if your dog digs under the fence and escapes, etc.

The place is a dump, and most of the staff I encountered should never be trusted to work in hospitality again. Even found drug paraphernalia in my room! They don't clean! There is no Home Depot at this address; it is at 1220 Renaissance Blvd NE, not 1220 S. Renaissance Blvd NE. Someone got confused.
