"As little as twelve months ago is seemed a fait accompli that the modern web would be dominated by Backbone.js (maybe using Marionette), with Grunt as a task runner, Require.js and Handlebars-based templating. Yet six months later, these technologies had all apparently been replaced, if the blogosphere was anything to go by – now, it was all about Angular, Gulp and Browserify. And now this stack seems questionable too."
The JavaScript world seems to be entering a crisis of churn rate. Frameworks and technologies are being pushed out and burned through at an …

jQuery CDN HTTPS certificate expired earlier today... and it broke a lot of sites! Happens to the best of us, but let's use this as a good reminder: go check when your certificate expires, and set a few alerts in your calendar spaced out a few weeks before.

You don't want your site throwing these kinds of errors. Also, while you're at it, do a quick audit on the third party services you rely on.

P.S. The jQuery team has already fixed the certificate error.

If someone built a tool to help find floats that aren't cleared properly in large HTML docs he/she would be very awesome.

New In DevTools: CSS parsing warnings that hint at invalid styles are now shown in the console

* Useful for catching issues like mismatched braces & missing semicolons!
* Demo of invalid styles you can test in Canary http://jsbin.com/icekif/1/edit

Ryan and Buddy together have created a beautiful and unforgettable place to stay in Jamaica. It's authentic and you'll get to experience local culture and foods in a way that just isn't possible with all-inclusive-resort style places. Buddy is an excellent cook and prepared local foods fresh (fried plantains, salt fish, yams, homemade sauces, fresh squeezed orange juice). Cabarita River is crystal clear and so refreshing to swim in to start the day. The grounds are full of beautiful flowers. At night they setup bamboo camp fires to relax to. I think you never lose the kid-like excitement of being able to sleep in a treehouse and sleeping in the open air bamboo huts at Camp was lovely. We took a trek to Mayfield Falls and ventured up the crystal blue river for part of a day. It was gorgeous. We hiked up to the Ginger Werks caves one evening. We took a trip to Negril and went snorkeling and hung out on the beach for a day. Really any activity you are interested in, Ryan and the Camp crew will make sure it happens. It was one of the most unique adventures I've ever done and I highly recommend it for those interested in seeing the real Jamaica.
