Summertime Classical Guitar Lessons!

Stacy Arnold is now accepting new students into his summer teaching schedule for private classical guitar lessons. Mr. Arnold maintains an active private lesson studio where teaches classical guitar lessons to students of all ages, from beginner to advanced. Mr. Arnold has over 20 years of teaching experience that includes private lessons, guitar ensemble, and class guitar and is recognized for his artistry as a concert soloist, recording artist, and educator. Mr. Arnold’s students have received scholarships for Undergraduate, Graduate, and Artist Diploma degrees at Southern Methodist University’s Meadows School of the Arts, The University of North Texas, Texas Womens University, Texas State University, and hold positions as professor of guitar studies on college campuses.

Classical Guitar Students and Teachers: Dallas Baptist University has a new Bachelor of Musical Arts degree!

The Dallas Baptist University Department of Music offers a course of study in classical guitar to talented guitarists interested in preparing for a career as concert performers, artists, and teachers. The program is under the direction of Mr. Stacy Arnold, who is recognized for his artistry as a concert soloist, recording artist, and educator. The guitar program at DBU offers students interested in a career in classical guitar the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Musical Arts Degree (B.M.A.) with an emphasis in classical guitar as well as in a secondary, non-music field of the student’s choice such as business/entrepreneurship, communication studies, etc. These areas of study are increasingly vital in learning how to navigate a rapidly-changing 21st- century musical landscape. The program will also enable the student to continue performance studies at the Graduate level. Guitar courses are offered in Applied Guitar, Applied Guitar Elective, Guitar Ensemble, and Class Guitar. Eli's Gift is dedicated to my son Eli Lukas Arnold and is a portrait of guitar composers from the 16th century Renaissance to the 20th century that features beautiful and virtuosic music from Spain, Latin America, and includes a complete transcription of the first Cello Suite by J.S. Etude No. 1 from Estudios Sencillos, a compilation of 20 modern-day etudes for classical guitar by Cuban composer Leo Brouwer (1939) that features an amalgamation of Cuban traditional music, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and the European avant-garde.
