Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. $50 1875. Friedberg 446 (W-2842). The Merchants NB. Charter #2462. @pcgscurrency Very Fine 20. This pleasing mid-grade Series of 1875 $50 that should be well received in the City of Brotherly Love. The Merchants National Bank issued many notes before being liquidated in 1910. While five Series of 1875 $100s are known from this bank, the present note represents the lone $50 remaining. Read more on our online listing!

CHINA. 2,000 Yuan, 1992. Lunar Series, Completion of Lunar Cycle. NGC PROOF-68 ULTRA CAMEO. Estimated between $300,000 to $350,000. EXTREMELY RARE kilogram size solid gold coin struck after the completion of the twelve year Lunar Cycle for which coinage had been struck since 1981. Only 20 pieces of this type were struck, and hence it is one of the rarest modern Chinese coins in general.

Ranked as one of the "100 Greatest American Medals and Tokens," this is the first coin to feature "New Yorke." Stack's Bowers sold an XF40 in 2013 for $94,000. However, this coin is 15 points greater at an AU55. To be sold at the ANA.

On June 20, 1837, upon the death of William IV, Victoria ascended to the throne as Queen of the United Kingdom at the age of 18. She would reign until 1901. To be offered in the Stack's Bowers Galleries Official Auction of the ANA World's Fair of Money this August is a complete Maundy Set of Queen Victoria. These sets were issued in 1902 to commemorate the coronation of Edward VII and only five are believed to have been made.
