Testimonials

I am 75 years old, and have been seeing Stacey since 2009. I have shoulder, neck, and lower back pain. She knows exactly where the tight knots are and how to work them out using just the right amount of pressure. I also have arthritis in these areas and in my hands, It feels wonderful when she does Swedish Massage in these areas. She is very professional, she only uncovers the areas in which she is working, she also makes me feel very comfortable during my massage. When I get a massage, it is what I ask for, she really knows what I want out of my massage, before she even starts. I am looking forward to lymph massage as I have edema in my legs. I highly recommend her. Donna S.

Gluteus Maximus,
otherwise known as your Buttocks or Butt.

Some people are embarrassed about talking about getting their Gluts massaged because it’s such a personal area, in actuality your butt is just an extension of your legs.

There is a lot to gain by getting some TLC to your butt muscles.
Everyday use of your muscles can lead to tension, which leads to pain and discomfort.

Tight gluteal muscles can be in relation to back pain, leg stiffness, pain in your hips and legs, and pain in your buttocks. Getting your gluteal muscles massaged and relaxed can help alleviate these symptoms.

Massaging just one part of your body will help release those “feel good” chemicals that affect the rest of your body. It’s more than just your butt!

Massage improves blood circulation which in turn improves the delivery of nutrients, better function of muscles, improves the immune system and more. When blood is circulating properly your body is healthier.

Massage also helps improve muscle recovery time. Muscles need time to recover after use. Without recovery time your muscles can become tight, strained, pulled and painful.

Gluteal massage helps improve muscle health, helping with everyday activities.

Gluteal massage is becoming more acceptable, offering an alternative solution to pain and stress.

When receiving a gluteal massage, or any type of massage, your body is fully draped except for the body part that is being massaged. So, you’re not on the table with your full body exposed.

Ages 12 – 18.

Children in this age group are now growing rapidly and are forced to adjust to many physical changes in a short time; body proportions become more like an adult, and body image goes under some major changes.

Body parts will grow at different rates, which will make some children look or feel awkward or gawky. They may end up tripping over their own feet or bang into things. Not forgetting all the hormonal changes both boys and girls go through.

In the teenage years, they have a feeling of invulnerability – bad things will not happen to them, putting them at a higher risk of injury.

A long with this invulnerability they have a feeling of strength and confidence, they have high energy levels, making them prone to risk-taking. This is the age in which injuries lead to death.

Children at these ages become independent, with their own identity and sense of self. They are searching for their own unique identity. As they move away from their parents – their major source of self-esteem, teens may feel a sense of emptiness.

Teenagers are not only going through a lot of changes, they are trying to find their place in the world.
All of this causing major stress. Some signs of stress are; misbehavior in school, such as bullying, fighting, and disturbing the classroom.

Physical signs include headaches, stomachaches, insomnia, and loss of appetite. Wide mood swings, anger, feelings of inadequacy and difficulty asking for help. And testing authority.

Massage can improve the quality of a child’s life.
It reduces stress, and provides perceptual feedback that is vital in helping children form a strong and positive body image.
Gentle Touch is the foundation of every massage, it is perceived as safe and nurturing, encouraging a relaxation response.
A sensitive caring massage can go a long way towards helping children heal their negative effects and develop in a healthy way.

Fibromyalgia
It’s estimated that 7 million American’s suffer from fibromyalgia – a muscle condition that causes pain throughout the entire body.It can be so severe to the point that they spend the entire day in bed.
The fascial tissue (which is the soft component of the connective tissue, is never ending) it becomes tense causing compression of the muscle fibers, nerve tissue and blood vessels.
People with fibromyalgia also suffer from tension headaches, stiffness & sleep disorders. With the main area of pain residing in the neck, upper & lower back & the buttocks.

Swedish Massage along with Myofascial Release (a very gentle massage technique that is use to help release the fascial tissue barrier), are two great massage techniques for those suffering with Fibromyaglia.
