Meet Glenn our Mathematics tutor!

Since joining Stepping Stones Education, Glenn has been hard at work helping students gain the skills they need to excel in their mathematics! Nice work Glenn!

Glenn achieved an ATAR of 99.05, and is currently studying a Double Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial studies and Commerce at the University of New South Wales.

On the 19th of July 2016 the Minister for Education, Adrian Piccoli, announced reforms to the HSC, which will be implemented for Year 11 students in 2018 and Year 12 students in 2019.

So what does it all mean? And how will this affect Mathematics in 2018?

It’s never easy deciding on what subjects you’ll choose to go into Year 11 Preliminary with. Recently, I’ve had a quick chat with some of the Stepping Stones Tutors and Academic Resource Developers to get some advice on subject selections. The gist of it being, that there is a whole lot more to consider than just the scaling of a subject.

We’re pleased to announce our newest member to the Stepping Stones Education team, George Han-McEvoy! George is a graduate of Sydney Boys High School finishing with an ATAR of 98.20 and achieving 1st in his cohort for English Extension 1 in the process.

He joins us as an English tutor, bringing his extensive background, knowledge, and skill of HSC English to continue Stepping Stones Education’s tradition of academic growth and excellence for the students here at Stepping Stones.

Meet Martin S Phabmixay, Founder of Stepping Stones Education

Aside from making sure the classrooms look neat and tidy! Martin as Head Tutor takes responsibility for the development and progress of Stepping Stones Education’s specialist Mathematics and English tutoring courses. Martin graduated from The King’s School, Parramatta with an ATAR of 98.85 and currently studies a Double Bachelor of Commerce and Liberal Studies at the University of Sydney.
