SSC Exam Calendar 2016 has come out just today, which gives you the schedule of dates (Notification, Form submission and Exam dates) for all the exams conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC). This article has been posted to provide you the SSC Exam Calendar 2016, so that you can schedule your preparation for the exam accordingly.

This SSC Exam Calendar provides you the schedule of MOST the SSC Exams, though not all. It is because, besides the regular exams which are conducted by SSC every year (e.g. CGL Exam, CHSL Exam, MTS exams etc.), it also conducts some exam which are not a part of the regular exam calendar. These are conducted mostly for some specific organizations e.g. FCI, Prasar Bharati etc. The notifications for these exams are published as and when the need of the organization occurs. SSC conducts these exams on behalf of these organisations.

Once if you decide to appear in SSC Constable (GD) Exam, you would like to know what is the minimum mark (i.e. Cut off) required to qualify in this exam. This article has therefore been posted to give you this very important piece of information – SSC Constable Exam Cut-Off Marks State-wise. Why state-wise? Because the cut off marks are decided for each state separately in SSC Constable Exam.

What are the SSC Constable Exam Eligibility to appear in the exam? This is the question you would have once if you decide to try for it. Therefore this article has been posted to let you know about it in detail.


First thing to know about this exam is: you not only have to posses the required eligibility of Age and Academic qualification, but you should also be physically and medically fit. This is because the job roles of a constable requires you to have best of physical fitness. Therefore you should strive to attain the level of physical/medical fitness as you apply for the exam. Because if you apply for the exam, the first hurdle that you have to cross is PST (Physical Standards Test) / PET (Physical Efficiency Test). It is only after you qualify in PST/PET that you would be called for SSC Written Exam.

If you are a matriculate (i.e. passed Class-10), you too can appear in this exam to join the prestigious police organisations. But before that, you must know what is SSC Constable (GD) Exam.

As an examinee of SSC JE Exam – you now have two reasons to cheer:
First: The date of the exam has been postponed by 14 days from 6th December, 2015 to 20th December, 2015. This as per SSC notification dtd: 28th August 2015. You can click here to download this notification. You therefore have extra 14 days of time to prepare for the exam!

Second: No Interview now on from SSC JE Exam 2015 onwards. This is an excellent news, because you can now concentrate on the written exam only. No need to prepare for the Interview.
