"A novel told from the point of view of a teenage girl with autism, written by schoolgirls with autism, has been published after the students – frustrated by their experience of a world that rejects and ignores them – decided to take matters into their own hands."

This story touched us on so many levels well worth reading.

"More and more often, I have wondered whether I will have to call the police to help. But I’ve been terrified to do so because I’m worried about scaring him  —  or getting into a conflict with law enforcement."

Its quite a strong misconception that everyone with autism has savant like abilities (think Raymond from Rain Man). In fact there are less then 100 recognised savants in the world today.

Stephen Wiltshire is however one of those rare cases. This documentary shows the amazing story of this Prolific British Artist diagnosed with Autism at the age of 4. Its heartwarming to see his journey an incredible young man.

Great work from Ky and Hugo. If you haven't seen this yet, take a few moments to view. A beautiful and sensitive awareness campaign worthy of sharing throughout the community.

This remains one of the best articles we have ever read about a parents account of learning to live with their child's autism.

Also has an excerpt from the fantastic 'Living is a battle': growing up with autism Naoki Higashida

Timeless article cannot recommend strongly enough :)
