Was here the last week in July 2015, with my wife and 13 year old daughter. We loved it!! The 1 bedroom condo was huge and clean and beautiful decorated in rustic mountain style. The kitchen was well stocked. The village area was great, a very casual and mellow atmosphere. We ate at two restaurants in the village, a Irish Pub and Fireside Pizza, both were excellent. The pizza place had live entertainment on the outside deck. We enjoyed the campfires placed around the village, and also saw a evening movie playing outdoors. Personally as the Dad on the trip, I appreciated the front desk help when asking about good places to hike and swim. The girl at the desk was patient and wrote down all the best hiking trails on a map, and her favorite beach. We did most of them, and every one was a jem! After our 4 nights stay, both my wife & daughter complimented me on choosing the Squaw Valley Resort. So, right there, a winner. If we return to Tahoe, which is very likely as it's the most beautiful place on Earth. We will be back at Squaw Valley.

Parallel Mountain Sports in the Village next to the Tram building is tops for buying your skis and boots. Connor was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They also mounted my bindings and I'm ready to go. Let's hope for a great winter because I'm good to go.

I've both skied at Squaw and attended Wanderlust in the summer. It's stunning at both times of year. The skiing is really good and I enjoyed the vastness of the park. In the summer, I enjoyed the hiking and the high camp pool area. The gondola to high camp is fast and large.

The terrain is awesome. Lots of high speed lifts. Workers are much nicer since KSL took over.

It is in a great location close to Tahoe City. It's clean and visually pleasing. Our kids were excited about the water slide in the heated pool. I'm not sure what the actual temp of the pools were heated too, but it was still VERY cold. The kids couldn't stay in it very long. When Lake Tahoe's water is warmer than the pool, I wouldn't really consider those heated. My biggest complaint which rendered my rating of three stars was the AC in the room. They have mattress covers on all the mattress that prevents them from breathing. We would turn our AC down as low as it would let us, and we would still wake up burning up. We called almost every day complaining. They offered to move us, but I went to that room first to see if it was any cooler and it wasn't. The hallways always felt amazing! I was tempted to pull my bed out there. We would lower the thermostat every night to the lowest it would go and when we woke up burning up it would be 4 degrees higher. We just called down again to tell them the thermostat is changing from where we are setting it. A guy came into the room to look at it and advised us that these systems were just recently changed to new systems and the thermostats reset after 6-8 hrs. So, I told him when I wake up burning up its because the thermostat is changing 4 degrees higher. He pretty much was like yeah that's what it does. He said the old systems were worst, and it took them 5 yrs to finally get them replaced....as if this made me feel better about burning up at night. It is not worth any amount of money to me if I can not get a good nights sleep because I'm burning up!!!! Another weird design is that they have the air vent on the wall right next to the huge curtained window. Most Hotel rooms have them on the wall to where the air goes towards the beds where you actually sleep! Whoever designed this format was not feasibly thinking of sleeping in the room! We LOVE Lake Tahoe, but I'm ready to get a good nights sleep!

love this place due to there steep challenging terrain. Wish it still snowed there. Management has there head up there asses. They dream about being a destination resort but do not have the intermediate terrain that the general public desires. Nore do they groom well.Local resort northstar dose this well. They cannot keep lifts running. The management continues to not plan for any problems and they have lots. I have traveled around a lot and every resort I go is run far better. Also the snow pack changes due to the warmth but it is rarely Colorado cold here

Bring Tour Buses to Squaw all the time with Bay Area Ski Bus, 1 bus had an issue today and I called the staff and they provided a helping hand when it was needed the most. Thank you Squaw Staff for answering phone and shop staff for providing an assist on a small tour bus problem. Now 50 people can go home.
