Barclays Bank held to be vicariously liable for assaults committed by a doctor during medical examinations. In light of this decision and recent judgements including Mohamud v WM Morrison Supermarkets plc [2016], employers are advised to be careful with whom they outsource tasks to, and to be mindful to the risk of liability, as courts are potentially widening the set of circumstances in which vicarious liability might arise. http://ow.ly/prA930eq5as

Employment claims stayed by the President of the Employment Tribunal following the landmark Supreme Court decision on Tribunal fees. Judge Brian Doyle has issued a Case Management Order stating all claims that have been brought in reliance of the recent decision are to be stayed to await decisions of the Ministry of Justice and HM Courts and Tribunals Service in relation to the implications of that decision. http://ow.ly/8EwS30ejuZg
