The Amazing Nowhere U.S.A is a great new podcast from the folks at Departika highlighting some of the great people who call Springfield home. Episodes include Steve Cash of Ozark Mountain Daredevil fame and Shawn Askinosie, founder of Askinosie Chocolate.
While Springfield might have a ways to go in the eyes of some, there’s no denying the vast amount of cool factor wrapped up in our city.

Stop here first if you are new to the area! (That's what we did.) Lots of flyers, coupons, free post-card, clean bathrooms, great (informative) staff!

A nice convention center in a pretty small town. Easy access. Great for a small convention, of which I am currently a part. Parking! Which is not something you see in big cities like New York or San Francisco. That said, the area around it is very boring and sparse. Not a lot of eateries or bars, so you're pretty much a) trapped in your hotel, or b) forced to get in your car and drive. Did I mention the parking?
