Springer's portfolio of fully open access journals and books
Introduction
SpringerOpen is Springer's portfolio of fully open access journals, which cover all disciplines within the science, technology, and medicine (STM) fields, giving authors the opportunity to publish open access. SpringerOpen is committed to maintaining high standards through full and stringent peer review. Many of the SpringerOpen journals are citation-tracked and some already have Impact Factors. All research articles published in a SpringerOpen journal may be freely accessed, re-used and re-distributed. SpringerOpen supports several international archives and digital repositories, and encourages self-archiving by authors.

The growing demand for open access publishing across all disciplines led Springer to expand the open access program to fully open access books. As further addition to the already established SpringerOpen journal portfolio now authors in all areas of science, technology and medicine (STM) have the option to publish open access books.
