Prince Harry brings Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup to South Africa

Prince Harry took the field yesterday for the Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup in Cape Town as part of His Royal Highness' South African tour.

The Royal Salute team took home the trophy – presented by Royal Salute guest of honour, Torquhil Campbell, the 13th Duke of Argyll - in what was a closely fought match, with a victory of 8 over the Sentebale team score of 7.

In the sixth year of partnership between Sentebale and British luxury whisky Royal Salute, the Polo Cup follows the charity's official opening of the Mamohatu Children's Centre - the flagship centre in Lesotho that will provide emotional and psychological support to communities currently affected by HIV and AIDS.

South Africa's oldest golf tournament – and the world's second oldest Open Championship – will now officially be known as the BMW SA Open Championship.

The tournament, which celebrates its 105th anniversary in 2016, is joining forces with the luxury German automaker which is one of the professional game's most significant sponsors on a global level.

Visa Europe becomes Official Payment Partner to the FIA Formula E Championship

Visa Europe, the leading payments brand in Europe, has announced its global sponsorship of the FIA Formula E Championship – the world's first fully-electric racing series.

Having sponsored the European leg of the inaugural season last year, Visa has now signed as the Official Payment Partner for the next three race seasons, until 2018. The second season got underway in Beijing yesterday, October 24th.

The sponsorship includes prime trackside branding, tickets and race rights to pass onto Visa Europe’s markets and members.
The payments brand has also announces its sponsorship of the 2015 Formula E Champion, Nelson Piquet Jr, who will become a Visa Driver Ambassador and the first ever Visa Europe sponsored driver.

A successful and respected driver with racing in his blood, Piquet Jr has twenty-two years of competitive racing experience. He also won the Visa Fastest Lap in Berlin earlier this year – a trophy awarded to drivers who post the fastest lap times in each race.

BRP signs multi-year league sponsorship deal across 52 Canadian hockey teams

BRP, a global leader in the design, development, manufacturing, distribution and marketing of powersports vehicles and propulsion systems, the Western Hockey League (WHL), Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) have signed a multi-year sponsorship beginning this CHL season.

With the sponsorship, BRP becomes the "Official Recreational Product" of all three leagues. 
 
The agreement gives BRP an opportunity to directly engage with millions of passionate junior hockey fans from coast-to-coast throughout Canada. BRP will leverage its vast dealer network in communities throughout the country to reach fans, including the more than nine million fans who attend live games during the season.

Anheuser-Busch has announced that it has inked a deal to become a leading sponsor of the South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Music, Film and Interactive Conferences and Festivals.

This "Super Sponsorship" – the highest level of sponsorship available – begins at SXSW 2016 and puts America's favorite beer – Bud Light – at the forefront of one of the most anticipated annual events where original music, independent film and emerging technologies converge.

BP America names Rio 2016 Athlete Ambassadors

rgy company BP have announced they will sponsor seven Team USA athletes competing for a spot at the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Five of the athletes are Paralympic hopefuls. With the announcement, BP becomes the first-ever corporate partner of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) to sponsor an athlete roster featuring more Paralympians than Olympians.

The group includes three returning BP Team USA athlete ambassadors: wheelchair racer Tatyana McFadden, sprinter Sanya Richards-Ross and Paralympic archer Matt Stutzman. 
 
It also includes two US military veterans wounded in combat – Paralympic swimmer Brad Snyder and para-triathlete Melissa Stockwell, as well as swimmer Nathan Adrian and Paralympic long jumper Lex Gillette.

Rio Tinto, Chow Tai Fook return as headline partners of JNA Awards 2016

The JNA Awards have welcomed back Rio Tinto Diamonds and Chow Tai Fook as Headline Partners of this key event in the jewellery industry, for the fifth consecutive year.

Diarough Group, Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI), Shanghai Diamond Exchange (SDE) and Guangdong Land Holdings Limited (GDLAND) have also renewed their sponsorship of the awards. Ladbrokes partner with Melbourne Racing Club

The Melbourne Racing Club has announced a new partnership with leading bookmaker Ladbrokes.

This Saturday's BECK Caulfield Guineas Day will launch the first phase of their significant partnership with the Melbourne Racing Club via sponsorship of the $400,000 Group 1 Ladbrokes Caulfield Stakes, followed by the $500,000 Group 3 Ladbrokes Caulfield Classic on BMW Caulfield Cup Day.

The second phase of Ladbrokes' partnership will see them become the Official Corporate Bookmaker of the Melbourne Racing Club from 1st, January 2016. Ladbrokes will have a strong presence across all Melbourne Racing Club courses, replacing William Hill.

In a three year deal, Ladbrokes will become naming rights partner of Sandown, which as of 1st January, 2016 will become Ladbrokes Park. They will also take naming rights to eleven races including the Group 1 Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Stakes which will be worth $1.5 million.
