Frost looking likely on Saturday and I still have quite a few green tomatoes. I know what I'll be making for dinner tonight!

If you are left with some green tomatoes and just won't ripen why not turn them into relish? Yum!

Overrun with cherry tomatoes? No problem! These lacto-fermented cherry tomatoes are delicious. As they ferment they take on a tang and fizz that is amazing in a Greek salad or as a yummy treat.

Our paste tomatoes have started to come in so it's time for sauce! This is my absolute favourite sauce recipe... my only complaint is that I can't can it which means it needs to go into the freezer. But the yield makes it worth it!

Today I'm spending most of the day working in the kitchen. We have been blessed with an abundance of produce which means I need to do something with it!

My friend Sandy gave me some amazing tomatillo seedlings and they just exploded. Having never consumed a tomatillo I was at a loss of what to do with them (green salsa is out because I already have jars and jars of it in my pantry).

Then I found this recipe... so this will be dinner tonight. I will be basing my meal loosely on this recipe as we will be adding ground pork as well as the chickpeas. But it does look super tasty!!

Do you make your own herbal salves? It's such a great skill to have and the versatility of a salve is awesome. From vapour rub to first aid, salves are something I would never be without.

We LOVE grass-fed butter. The challenges are that it can be difficult to source and extremely expensive (at least where I live). We will often save up our grocery points (PC points) and use those to splurge on large amounts of grass fed butter. Then we freeze it so we can enjoy it year round.
