This place is over rated- the sauce is really sweet, they don't have real Chicago style pizza and their version of thick crust is thinner than most hand tossed pizzas. If you want real Chicago style pizza then try Rosati's and if you like New York style better try Grimaldis or Venezia's- either way don't waste your money at Spinato's.

I want to start off with this statement, I hate pizza. I do, but Spinato's has me come back again and again. The "Get Meaty", or the "MAMMA SPINATO’S “SIGNATURE” FRESH SPINACH" are my favorite two picks from this local pizza joint. Really great pizza, thick or thin crust with a full bar and lots of seating. I usually bring my 7/8 person family here and they love it. My son with Autism who only likes Little Caesars will sneak in a cheese pizza, the first time we did it the manager offered to serve it up on a tray for us. Everytime we go back they still accommodate us this way.

The pizza is delicious, however their current changes have seriously devalued the business. I haven't been able to get through on the phone for over ten minutes due to a busy signal, whereas 6 months ago I could order online. I hadn't heard a busy signal anywhere in over 5 years.

I ordered a small pizza, my wife a calzone. We waited and waited, probably 30 minutes. "We're really busy" we were told a couple of times. The calzone was way overdone, so we asked the waiter to take it back. He said he'd check with the manager. Took 5 minutes for the manager to see us. She totally agreed that it was way overdone and said she'd replace it. We waited and waited again...at least 15 minutes before asking what is taking so long. Wait again for 10 minutes and asked again. It took 30 minutes before the replacement was delivered. I asked the waiter why the 2nd one took so long. He said there were other ordered ahead of ours. Lame excuses. The 2nd one was just about the same: overdone. We asked him to just wrap it all to go. That took another 5 minutes. Bringing the bill took another 5 minutes. Processing my credit card another 5 minutes. My pizza was okay, but nothing special. Sauce is a little too sweet. Unless you have lots of time and only order pizza you are at risk.

I'm sure the food would be good, but I never got a waiter for the service. We sat there for more than 10 min. The only way I would have received service, I guess, is if I sat in the bar area...with my kids.

For those of us who must eat gluten-free, we are ecstatic to find places who have adapted at least 1 gluten-free item. we (2) had been told by someone that Spinato's was best pizzeria in town. the gf pizza is smallest 1 on menu, with high price, esp if you choose Mama Spinato's version! this was just about enough pizza for 1 person w/1 or 2 "Small" pieces left. Staff was ho-hum, lackluster, didn't show pizza upon pickup...in too much of a hurry, tho very few customers on football sunday. Crust was almost burnt, dry and corn-mealy texture. Margherita items were less than half the pizza, towards center, w/2" of crust all around. VERY disappointing!! Will stick to Nello's.....

Still sitting here as i type this. This is my first visit here. Just had the Margherita pizza. Probably the most flavorless pizza i have ever had. The pizza crust is wafer thin...not a big fan of super thin crust. Had my girl taste it and she agreed there was just no flavor. The greek dinner salad was great. She had the Raviolli and said there wasnt alot of flavor in her meal either. The brownie is coming shortly....im sure that will be excellent. I will return again but will not order pizza.
