The number one question I always am asked is, “How do I get prospective clients to look at my portfolio?” It comes from newbies and… er… old

It's a wondrous maze of beggars and crackheads just to enter the building and attempt to wait on line, while non-English speaking patrons struggle to order a meal by a number, then argue with each other, making the wait an average of 13 minutes... on a good day, just to order. Receiving your food may take another 8-15 minutes... and that's on a good day as well. The general confusion heard in back of the counter attests to the problems with service and getting a correct order. I gather that the staff floated to this country on a wooden door and then applied for positions handling people's food. But the food is at least hot and the place is as clean as it can get, considering the unwashed masses who like to camp there on season. The McDonald's on 82nd Street holds the overflow of beggars and crackheads, just in case you prefer a Big Mac. While you sit to enjoy your meal, expect someone to ask to use your cell phone, borrow money because their cat is sick and needs a whiskerectomy, and, believe it or not, a ride in your car. You'll witness the anger from those you don't want to hand a $300-$600 mobile device, but stay strong and look crazy. They ignore their own. When you leave, depending on which poorly planned/designed exits, you will probably face one or two more beggars standing on 78th Street at Biscayne. They never say "thank you" when you give them something and just grumble insults at you, so don't give them anything or just do the Upper East Side a favor and run them down. I won't tell! If you're really jonesin' for Wendy's, try the location just above 123rd Street, on the east side of Biscayne. Clean, friendly, they have two TVs and there's a counterperson named "McLovin."

This Walmart location is an Disneyland adventure for every shopper of any age, culture or national origin! Luckily my Spanish was good enough to ask about certain items, alas, the Spanish-speaking workers (which are most of them) still didn't know where anything was. The Haitian Creole speaking workers are always angry and pissed they have to work there (well, who wouldn't be?), so trying to guessing if that black employee will be American or Caribbean is a fun game/thrill ride! Another thrilling game is "Guess-What-You'll-Pay?" As most items have no price posted on the shelf (if they're on the correct shelf in the first place), you get to decide on the spot if you are willing to pay $5, $10 or over $50! It all comes together at the cashier's when you find out exactly what it costs. Don't try to find one of the price checkers and God forbid you try to ask one of the workers where one is (Spanish= "yo no se!" and Haitian Creole/French=silent blank, angry stares). Keep an eye on your shopping cart because if you leave it out of sight for a few minutes, it'll disappear. I don't think it's one of the workers taking it to put the items back in the totally wrong places. I'm guessing one of the unwashed masses that shop there just take the cart, dump the contents out on the nearest shelf and do their own shopping (instead of taking a cart when they enter the store) because the average customer there seems to have the IQ of a shopping cart... except the carts have some use to society. When the time comes to escape and drive out of the parking lot, be very careful as there will be a.) a car parked right behind you as they the driver tries to remember where they are and what they are doing there, b.) 14 people will be climbing out of the car, even if it's not right by the entrance to the store, or c.) a person or persons are walking in the middle of the lane at a pace of 1 mile per week, totally oblivious to the fact they're in the middle of a parking lot. Of course, the usual three police cars parked in the front of the building is a testament to the safety and kind of customers you will find here. Shop online if at all possible and count the shipping charges as a luxury for not having to go to this location.

It's true the wait time can be a little longer than expected (although some of the reviews seem to think 30 minutes is enough time to install tires and such), it's never been too bad for me, but there are entitled, impatient douches in the world, so take that into consideration when reading these reviews. I've bought several sets of tires here over the years and the price is great, tires have been better than expected and the service guys are friendly and helpful. I, for one, have always been happy and will remain a customer.
