#AOTD Artist of the Day: LINDA LITTERAL created a series of nine paintings called Meditation: Self Portrait #1-9. The image originated from a mandala she developed 30 years ago during a meditation practice.

"The faces represents all the different parts that we are as humans. The way we put on masks for different situations. The way we compartmentalize trauma and try to keep it separate. All the faces come from the center and are attached to the center of the self" Litteral explains.

Her introspective and colorful self-portrait will be on view until January 20, 2019 as a part of our group show "Convergence."

#AOTD Artist of the Day: JEREMY SICILE-KIRA is a 27 year-old artist who has autism and synesthesia. He communicates through typing and he reads people’s emotions as color. In 2012, Sicile-Kira began to communicate about the dreams he had – in his dreams he paints emotions of people he has met into colorful portraits. Currently, Sicile-Kira meets people in person at his art studio at Space4Art or online, and then paints to recreate the portrait envisioned while dreaming.

"Nicely Great Triumph Over Fear" will be on view until January 20, 2019 as a part of our group exhibition "Convergence."

Sicile-Kira explains that "I have learned that by believing in myself and others near me, love trumps fear. The colors of the painting are greatly symbolic of this triumph...the gold and silver represent the power of God looking down and helping all victims to be strong. Greatly nicely women and other victims of abuse will overcome their fear and that is when greatly love will triumph over fear."
