"Video Killed the Radio Star" a song written by Trevor Horn, Geoff Downes and Bruce Woolley in 1977 just keeps running through my head after Friday's Out of the Box Luncheon.

Toya Wilson, NexGeneration Digital Marketing & Chic Scaparo, videographer were our presenters and the quarterly brown bag lunch seminar. According to some data Toya found, 55% of people in the US, Canada, UK and China watch 1 video online each day.

Toya went on to discuss how businesses should be capitalizing on this market. Chic then gave us several tips and tricks for making our videos look more professional.

The next Out of the Box Luncheon will be held in May. And while I should have taken video, old habits dye hard and here are a couple of pictures from Friday's event.

The Southport-Oak Island Area Chamber of Commerce offered a group travel program in partnership with Astro Travel, Travel Leaders and Collette Travel.   Our travelers went to Southern California over the New Year holiday. As part of the trip,  they went to the Tournament of Roses Parade, had a sneak peak of float viewing, enjoyed a parade band presentation and went to a New Year's Eve Gala.

Thank you Tiffany for sharing this video of some of fun stuff they saw during the trip.
