#Yarram is a fabulous place to stop for a quality pub meal, play some golf, visit high class wineries, drive into the mountains or to the ninety mile beach, take a look through the Historic Courthouse and see old homesteads and other country town buildings that are renowned in this older established rural center.

#Inverloch is such a great town on the South Gippsland coast to stop and visit Art Galleries, wineries, enjoy some delicious food in cafes, bars and high end restaurants ... but besides that, it's a popular central place to base yourself to go for scenic drives along some gorgeous stretches of coastline, visit The Prom, head over the Walkerville Kiln and so much more

#photos and information about #Poowong which is just off the South Gippsland Highway about an hour drive from Melbourne.

With excellent facilities, the growing town of Poowong lies between Nyora, Loch, Bena, Korumburra, Drouin and Warragul in Victoria and is placed high on top of the hills with fabulous 360 degree views of the lush Gippsland countryside.

It is quite well know for the local Poowong Pub. ~ Elizabeth Richardson (photographer)

#Bunurong is a long stretch of marine and Coastal Park near #Inverloch that provides an opportunity for some light surfing, fishing, beach walking, rock pool paddling and most certainly, one of the most scenic drives around.

So many parking places here that you could spend an entire day hopping in and out of them all and seeing something different at each stop. ~ Elizabeth Richardson (photographer)

I lived at #MountBest for several years. So many fantastic views over Corner Inlet, Wilsons Promontory and the beautiful farmland surrounding the area from the 436 metre hilltop here. You can get terrific pictures of the #windfarms from here too. ~ Elizabeth Richardson (photographer)

KNOWING WHERE TO GO IN SOUTH GIPPSLAND: You’ll find the occasional guided charters and fishing tours here by checking the local papers, tourist brochures, information centers or just talking with some of the locals. Adventure companies mostly operate out of Melbourne and do both day and overnight trips.

Canoe paddle boat and paddleboard hire usually available from the carpark at Tidal River in the warmer months.

If you have your own marine craft, access to waters of Wilsons Promonotory can be gained from a variety of boat ramps and jetties close by in the area.
