Southern Brewing hosts the summer Seminole Heights Farmer's Market and is truely engaged in the neighborhood. It is a kid and pouch friendly environment with a large outdoor garden. They are very helpful and answered all my questions for carbonating Kombucha Tea. It is a supply store for all kinds of brewing. They often have food trucks or other vendors from the Farmer's market most any day of the week just because.

Home brew selection is second to none. Tap selection and variety is always great. Pricing is comparable to major online vendors. But where they take the cake is service. These guys will help with any questions and walk you through anything you need help with. That's just something you will never get with online vendors. I'm always looking for a reason to go back. Oh and that Raised Bungalow Berliner Weisse, Mmmmm.

Nice craft bee served up here. Very good selection covering many taste palates that will have all pleased and returning for more. The space is open and large so you will not feel crammed in at all. The bar top is big enough to accommodate a decent crowd and there are several table top seating around as well. They have a large outdoor seating area that has a decent amount covered so you will not be scorched by the sun. Service was just average, nothing to brag about.

The selection and customer service is great. Owner is frequently there to answer questions, but if not then the other employees are very helpful as well. They also offer discounts for people in the Tampa B.E.E.R.S. Club. Try one of the beers they brew on site, very good!

Great place to pick up whatever you need for homebrewing beer and wine. Huge variety of grains in stock. Prices are extremely competitive, even compared to Amazon. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Always a great selection of their own delicious beers on tap!

Great place to hang out! Truly a diamond in the rough. They brew all their own beer which are all very good. my favorite is the sour beer only thing about it is it takes longer to brew so they don't always have it but that's what makes it so special xoxo love this place and they always have a food truck outside with great food so you can eat while you drink. love you guys

They took advantage of my wife who stopped by while she was in town and charged her for something extra knowing she was out of her element. Unfortunately since we are stationed in North Carolina I can't come back for a refund.

Been going here for many years, since they operated out of a storage facility. They have grown and only gotten better. Since they opened up there tap room and brew shop on Nebraska, in my opinion, have become one of if not the best brewery around in terms of quality, variety and overall execution of beers. Do not sleep on this place.

We've got a new look! It's now easier to see new beers and special releases on tap.

Join us for Big Brew Day on Saturday, May 3rd!
Local homebrewers are invited to join us for a big brew day in the biergarten.

So far, we have members of Bay Area Barley's Angels, Tampa Bay B.E.E.R.S., and Special Hoperations confirmed to brew.

As usual, Southern will provide RO water, running water and electricity, but brewers must bring their own equipment, tables, and tents.

We will be offering a 10% discount on all ingredients for any beers brewed that day.

We will have Hot Box'd Steamed Cheeseburgers on site from 12p-3:30p, and Thai One On from 5-10p, so come hungry!

We will be joining in on the nation-wide toast at 1p EST (12p CDT).

Brewers must sign-up to reserve a spot in the biergarten.

Please contact Cindy at to secure your spot.

Family, friends, and curious strangers are welcome to come hang out in the biergarten and watch the brewing process.

The taproom will be open and beer will be flowing all day!

After the brewing ends, we'll continue the party in the taproom with a live set from local band Monarch.

Even though we love what we do, we need to take a day off too!

When you own a small, independent business, it can be difficult to separate personal and professional life, which often means it's impossible to get a day off. We think better with a clear head and a full day of rest, so we've decided to close the shop one day a week.

Starting in July, we will be closed on Mondays. Thank you so much for understanding, and for all of your continued support.

Southern Brewing & Winemaking is hosting our first Summer #Art Market on Sunday, May 25, from 12-5p. The market will take place in the biergarten and adjacent lot.

The intent of this art market is to encourage local and independent #artists and craftsmen to showcase (and hopefully sell!) some of their work.

We are looking for artists and craftsmen of all trades, including painting, photography, jewelry, pottery, textiles, wood working, glass blowing, jams and jellies, produce, or anything else that is #local and independent!

There is a $25 vendor fee, and vendors must provide their own tables and tents. All artists will keep 100% of their proceeds. Vendor space is limited to 30 spots.

If you are interested in participating, please send pictures of 2-3 samples of your current work and a link to your website (if applicable) to Cindy at by no later than May 15th.

We will have local musicians playing during the event, and are looking for some local food vendors to set up as well.
