So I wonder...
I feel science should trump beliefs when it comes to keeping everyone protected.

What's your take on this Rousseau quote? "God makes all things good; man meddles with them and they become evil. He forces one soil to yield the products of another, one tree to bear another's fruit. He confuses and confounds time, place, and natural conditions. He mutilates his dog, his horse, and his slave. He destroys and defaces all things; he loves all that is deformed and monstrous; he will have nothing as nature made it, not even man himself, who must learn his paces like a saddle-horse, and be shaped to his master's taste like the trees in his garden. Yet things would be worse without this education, and mankind cannot be made by halves. Under existing conditions a man left to himself from birth would be more of a monster than the rest."

Rousseau, in my opinion (hate TLA's), paints a picture of the human condition which is still true today.  Very little effort is given in education to reflect the model he presented in the late 1700's, today.  It may be time to review that model and use the Natural World and Universe around us to be a basis for educating all.  Otherwise, I doubt if we will have the opportunity or yes, the right, to reach for the stars, both physically and philosophically.

For the love of mushrooms.
Mushrooms are known as fast-growing organisms, especially quickly popping up after the rain. Given the pace of their growth, which is difficult to capture with a human eye, it‘s incredibly interesting to witness the changes of fungi in these mesmerizing time-lapse gifs.

I got asked the same question as a kid... And have the same answer. The pressure we put on our kids...
In an effort to prepare our kids for the dog-eat-dog, competitive world before them, we fill their days with activity. Schedule them from dawn to dusk to maximize their potential. So they can learn. And grow. But I fear that in our quest to help them...

Why women need fat.
We like big butts and I know why: because it helps babies develop their brains properly. Researchers have found that especially during breastfeeding, the development of babies’ brains relies on fat supplies stripped directly from the mother’s thighs and bottom.

I think the best way to deal with this is to not react, because it can more often than not be a knee jerk reaction, and well, you cannot un-say something you will regret...
But take a moment and think about what needs to be said and, merely respond calmly.

Story
Tagline
Photographer. Traveler. Writer. Simplifier.
Introduction
I go through life collecting moments and turn them into beautiful visual stories. My works include surreal and fantasy photo art from Norway, Sweden and Iceland as well as travel photography.

As an artist I am fascinated by the power of visual transformation and the possibility I have to employ this power to surprise and inspire the viewer.

I share my passion for photography and writing on my blog, where I also talk about simplifying life and turning to nature in order to reconnect with ourselves and live an inspired life.

My academic background includes two graduate degrees — an MA in English Philology and an MA in Educational Management. In 2005 I left behind my successful but stressful career as a manager of a private school to follow my heart on the artistic path. My award winning photographs have been shown on international exhibitions and published in magazines on- and off-line.
